Decca or as her friends call her Jessie is a mixed media artist specialising in film, photography and spoken word. Her work embodies themes of solitude, endurance, feminism and the sense of other as she works using the figure in the landscape. She is a serious amphibious creature and the North Norfolk coastline is integral to her practice as an artist.
She graduated last year from The Glasgow School of Art where she studied Fine Art Photography and received a First Class degree. She is now based between London and Burnham Overy where she grew up.
She is about to walk the Chamonix to Zermatt Haute route as an endurance performance piece, this will make up a collection of images and film for her show next year in The Royal Scottish Academy.
