The Boathouse has well appointed workshops for the repair and restoration of wooden and fibre-glass boats up to 16ft long.

John is a skilled designer of dinghy’s, with Burnham Overy Boathouse being the birth place of Windsong, the cedar stripped lugger.

A surprisingly extensive selection of chandlery is available, including ropes and cordage, trolley wheels and some secondhand spare boat parts.

Max Owles, the manager and her husband John, are skilled in the use of both traditional and modern materials and techniques, and have many years experience working with and building wooden boats.
